Suggest Treatment For Blister Behind Ears Of Child After Photo Therapy

Question: hi my baby son is 8 days old.yesterday we took our baby to photo therapy. after that we noticed a small bump/blister behind his ear. could this be because of photo therapy or is this normal acne?. pic attached

It is pyoderma - Bacterial skin infection - Mild

Detailed Answer:
Hi..at 8 days of age, there is no chance of acne. I have seen the image - It doesn't look like photo therapy rash either.

This is pyoderma or a skin infection due to bacteria. I suggest you apply local application of the ointment Mupirocin thrice a day for 5 days n the local region. It will subside. Nothing to worry. If it doesn't, then approach your pediatrician.
