Question: Hi, I have been bleeding from the mouth today, total 5 times. I have no sores, toothaches or sorethroat. I did get my INR checked it was normal. I have a mechanical vavle aorta. I was diagnosed with MS 6-15 taking Aubagio for 11 days. It doesnt list bleeding as a side effect so I dont know if I should go to ER or not. Any ideas would help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that repeated spontaneous hemorrhage can be related to a coagulation or platelet disorder.

Have you noticed any subcutaneous hematomas in any parts of your body?

Although there are a few interactions between aubagio and warfarin or cymbalta, they don't seem to be related to hemorrhage.

It can decrease the effects of warfarin and cymbalta.

Aubagio can cause alteration of liver function.

I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical examination, a complete blood count, liver function tests and coagulation tests (besides INR which is not the only test for coagulation).

A dentist consult would be necessary to exclude possible oral cavity causes which could lead to bleeding.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask!

Greetings!
