Suggest Treatment For Anal Fissure Along With Diarrhea

Question: Hi

I am diagnosed with Anal Fissure by a surgeon and he advised to go for surgery but I don't want to go for it. I had a loose motion on 10-NOV-16 and felt pain during bowel movement as I had to go around 6-7 times within 3 hours. Since then I am feeling burning sensation after each bowel movement everyday and it lasted for 5 hours . After 5 hours, I don't feel any sensation or pain and it looks like I don't have any issue. During bowel movement or anytime, I don't see any blood in stool. Though initially it was there for 2-3 days (just a clot in the stool). First I went to a physician who prescribed me Racef-O-CV (antibiotic), Thank-OD tablet and ESCOT cream. But I am unable to apply the cream as it is hard to push finger or any tube inside. I took it for 10 days but no result. Then I went to a Surgeon and who asked for surgery. I have taken measure to soften stool and it is very soft now everyday. Taking sitz bath (feeling better with this). Taking some homeopathy medicine (last 20 days) but hardly feeling any improvement . Still burning sensation lasting for 5 hours after bowel movement. Feeling a little pain while bowel movement.

I want to know how much time it could take to heal the problem and what medicine I can use . Any cream will not help as I can't apply it as unable to see the spot from outside.

Thanks
Uttam

Brief Answer:
As discussed in details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of anal fissure that started on Nov 10 after loose motion that has persisted in spite of medicines as you have mentioned, Surgeon has asked for surgery for anal fissure. Taking sitz bath, homeopathy, stool softener, already taken Racef-O-CV, Thank-OD and Escot.
Usually the anal fissure heals within 3-4 days but persistence indicates that there is a root cause like colitis, intestinal infection or something of this sort that needs to be diagnosed and taken care of.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get the stool tests done.
Tests of blood.
A course of another antibiotic and metronidazole if required.
Clinical evaluation and examination by a General Surgeon or take a second opinion.
This way a cause can be found out and treated properly.

I hope, this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
