Question: Hi sirs

This question is for a urology specialist I would like Dr XXXXXXX to answer please.or drmatthews

HI docs, it's XXXX I recently sent in a picture of a vein which was found on the top left part of my testicle if you remember could one of you kindly have another look as I have uploaded pictures?

I had some questions which I did not ask last time and if you can clarify.

1) this vein is only visible when I press onto the top left part of the testicle, is it normal for a vein connected from the left side to have such a appearance?

2) you both have said it is normal anatomocal appearance can you confirm it is not varicose and I can carry on with a normal life as this is normal anatomy?

3) Why does this vein differ in size? And is this a variance found in all adults? I was worried incase it was swollen due to the V shaped appearance.

4) Also is it normal for the testicle to have such Veins
I only worry as I do not want this to effect my fertility. The appearance doesn't look good either. Also when the testicles are hanging loose why are more Veins visible?

Respect your opinion please see pictures uploaded

Thank you Sirs

Regards

The first 3 photos are of the front part and the Back of the right and left.

The latter two pictures are of the front vein found on the top left part which is you have said of normal appearance? Can you confirm all is fine I am only 26 and worried.

This will be the last time I get confirmation
the vein feels like it is at the top part which supplies the testicle.

I was assured not to worry, are such Veins a normal finding on the top of the testicle and why do they exist?

Brief Answer:
There is absolutely nothing wrong to be worried about.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing again and uploading photographs .

The veins that is seen is a tributary of superficial vein of the scrotal wall that carry impure blood from skin and subcutaneous tissue of scrotum and not from the testis .There is no universal pattern of this venous drainage system .It differs from person to person with variation and has no significance at all neither it signify any disease .

Since these veins are not connected with venous systems of Testicles hence will never affect your fertility nor testicular function .

Varicose veins affect only branches of testicular veins that carry impure blood from testicles to heart via renal vein on left side and internal Iliac vein on Rt side .

I think you are very much confused and getting anxious for no obvious reason .

Hope this wil clarify yourdoubt and allay your anxiety .

Thanks and Regards.

Thank you Dr XXXXXXX you have been excellent

Just the final follow up question even if this vein is found above the left testicle on the top part It is superficial and normal anatomy?

I think I did get myself confused..

Is there any appearance of fullness on the left side

I wrote in before and the doctor suggested it is dilated that is what got me worried you have confirmed it Is normal my worry has finally subsided!

Thanks sir

So when from the groin it is found just above the left testicle never causes pain sometimes tender when I touch it the vein feels thin and hard.

I seeked opinion to clear thoughts of any cyst or a lump etc and healthare magic has saved me time etc thanks

As it was on the top left testicle I thought it may be a swollen vein but doubts have been cleared.

Thanks Dr XXXXXXX

So to conclude it is a normal vein? That's all I need confirmation for.

1) can you confirm I need no further appointment with a GP and can get on with normal life knowing I am not abnormal in any way?

2) no ultrasound or anything like that is needed because I am completely normal?

I will speak to the GP regards to my anxiety and get help on that part.

Thanks Sir have a good day.

Tributary of superficial vein of the scrotal wall

Is this found on the top part of the testicle? As I described because this is where the vein is just for my knowledge.

Is it a normal or a dilated one.

It's hard to describe, it is part of the top left testicle which is linked to the testicle from above is the appearance normal?

Any procedures to correct the size or is it not a worry

If it makes sense sir the vein in the image looks like it is found on the testicle however when the testicles are hanging lower the vein is actually above the testicle can you elaborate on this for me?

Is it normal to have such Veins above the left testicle when it is hanging low? Ignore the other questions if you wish as you have answered it already..

You say it's not linked to the testicle but why is it found on the top part when testes are hanging lower?

You have said it won't affect testicular function as it is not linked, but hanging lower it's like on the top

Promise these will be the last questions and I will draw the line

So even if the vein is from the top part of testicle it is not connected too the testicle venous system?

Hi Dr XXXXXXX

Before closing can you confirm it is nothing to worry about and I can move on with normal life?

Hi Dr XXXXXXX

I have paid for follow up questions.

New issue
I was lying in bed this morning and Examined my left testicle on the bottom right side I felt a hard vein.

This could be the epidymis tail I am guessing?

So I got up and panicked and did full examination when I stood up it was like a vein I looked for cysts or lumps by making the testes tense and did not find anything.

Would this just be the tail of the epidymis. I have attached picture for you to get your views.

Sorry Dr XXXXXXX it was a left side on the bottom like I hard vein. I could not find anything when I checked again.

Is this normal anatomy and how does the epidymis tail feel? Could I have just touched a part of my epidymis

Also if it was a cyst it has to be visible I am guessing? I can't see any growth?

But felt something when I was lying down on the left
