If diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia is confirmed, she needs to be started on chemotherapy at the earliest. There is no other option for treatment except chemotherapy. Even with chemotherapy, chances of remission with induction is 70% and there is 30% chance of disease being refractory to therapy. please understand that AML is a deadly disease.
If you do not want to take chemotherapy, she can be maintained on best supportive care for a few months. CBP daily is not the predictor of disease progression but clinical symptoms are more important. Diagnosis of AML itself means that it is advanced condition and there is nothing more to progress but clinical condition worsens with time. Best would be to start treatment at the earliest before she worsens

Unfortunately AML is a disease with no cure. After induction approximately 70% chance of remission is present. After remission consolidation chemotherapy is offered. Inspite of all these disease relapses in 1 to 2 years. In AML, relapse is a rule rather than a chance. Even allogenic transplantation doesnt offer complete cure. It is hard to hear all these, but these are facts and no one can offer complete cure

The bone marrow report says it is monocytic leukemia. Since it has been a month since the diagnosis and she is not yet started on therapy, I suggest BMA to be repeated again and preserve sample for flow cytometry. If marrow is ambiguous, flow can be done.
I feel Bone marrow aspiration to be repeated. Biopsy not necessary
