Brief Answer:
Most probably muscular spasm

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank You for contacting HCM. My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. Your symptoms are suggesting muscular spasm. If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised following things:

- naproxen twice a day for 5 days.
- take hot water in a rubber bottle and put it at the site of pain. It will give soothing effect.
- avoid lifting heavy weight till you become healthy again.
- ask some family member to do oil massage on your body. It will also give soothing effect.

Hopefully you will observe improvement soon but If pain persists then visit hospital for workup & physiotherapy.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!

It doesn't feel like a spasm. It is an ache. When I got my blood profile done the other day they had a hard time getting blood. They said my blood was to thick. Could that make my arms ache. I have tried over the counter anti inflamatories and they don't reduce my pain. If I give blood to the red cross often, will this help with thinning my blood. Maybe they don't have anything to do with each other though.

Brief Answer:
Visit hospital; get an appointment for "Consultant Hematologist"

Detailed Answer:
Hello

No, in that case it will not help in thinning the blood. I would suggest you to visit hospital & get an appointment for a "Consultant Hematologist". He is specialized in dealing with blood releated disorders. He will perform a series of blood tests to confirm the cause. Further management will depend upon the lab results.

Thank You
