Question: I am a 35yr old male with hypothyroidism. I take medication daily for my thyroid, and high cholesterol. I have been experiencing stomach and intestine pain for 8-10mos with my symptoms progressively getting worst. My doctor suggested IBS. However i want to get other opions. Some of my symptoms are as follows. Extreme gass and bloating feeling immediately after drinking or eating anything. Dehydration all the time. Muscle cramps throught out my whole body. Occasionally pain on left side of abdomen, dyheria, constipation, urinating in the middle of night due to errection. I also noticed a while ago my belly button was pushed out a little more than before but that might be due to weight gain.

Brief Answer:
Mainly gas, indigestion and electrolyte imbalance.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
You have multiple symptoms some of which are unrelated. The extreme gas and bloated feeling could be due to gastritis and indigestion. If persistent then it can be related to IBS. Dietary modifications and over the counter products like papaya juice, ginger ale, charco caps can help in taking care of these symptoms.
Dehydration and muscle cramps are suggestive of an electrolyte imbalance. You need to take electrolyte rich fluids like Garotade frequently and get your serum electrolyte levels evaluated.
Pain, diarrhea, constipation, etc are related to gas and indigestion. Do consult a gastroenterologist for proper prescription medicines.
The pushing out of belly button is again related to distension due to gas.
I hope this answers your query.
