Question: I have a small , soft lump in groin area . ( right side where leg joins my body. )Very tender to the touch. Just started yesterday. I can feel it in the crease , it is maybe an inch long , soft feeling lump.kinda moveable underneath my skin. I haven't pulled a muscle or over excerted myself. It just got my attention due to the tenderness. What do you think?

Brief Answer:
It could be Lipoma.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description, it looks like a fat swelling,
i. e.Lipoma.It is a soft swelling. When it is related to a Nerve, then it will be painful.
Another possibility is a Lymph node in that area.Exact diagnosis will be confirmed by clinical examination and FNAC ( FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION CYTOLOGY ).
If it is Lipoma, it has to be removed surgically. If it is a inflammed Lymph node ,I prefer to use Antibiotic and Anti inflammatory tablet initially.
Please consult your surgeon, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
