Brief Answer:
All of the symptoms can be part of depression

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing through HCM.

I have read your query and understood your concerns.

You have listed all the symptoms but you have not mentioned that for how long they have been present? Are they present continuously? For how long have you been on prozac? Is there any improvement in depression after taking prozac? what is the dose?

Dry mouth and other GI symptoms can be the side effects of prozac. Continue drugs for coeliac disease. For bloating and other symptoms you can take antacids like pantoprazole 40 mg once in the morning before breakfast.

The anxiety symptoms that you have mentioned are temporary or continuous? [it come and go or they are permanently there] Do you have any stress in your life that is significant and continuously bothering you? Are you in menopause? Did you start after some stressful event?

Answer the questions because they are necessary for me to help you. Waiting for your reply.
Wish you good health.

I have been on prozac on and off for a number of years. 2 tablets per day. Symptoms have been there for a while, getting worse in past couple of weeks. Anxiety is constant recently, dont know if I am in menopause. Have a certain amount of stress in life but was better able to manage it, now finding it hard to cope with any stress at all

Brief Answer:
You should visit a psychiatrist again

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing again.

I am asking about the dose of prozac, not the number of pills. As Prozac can come in different dosages like 20mg 40mg I want to know what dosages you are taking.

If you are taking prozac for long time and still you have anxiety symptoms then prozac can be stopped and another drug can be started.

By menopause means, do you still have periods? because at your age many women do not get periods and that is menopause.

I feel that you need re-evaluation of your recently worsened anxiety and change of the drug. In my opinion paxil would be better drug.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have further query then I shall be happy to help.
Wish you good health.
