Brief Answer:
Interferon injections are the best option.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your sister's diagnosis.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an auto-immune disease where antibodies are produced against brain and spinal cord cells.

For acute episodes of worsening, we need to give steroid injections for three days.

To prevent the disease progression and worsening, we need to give interferon injections. In XXXXXXX the commonly used brands are avonex, relibeta and rebif injections.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,

Brief Answer:
Life span is normal.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

The treatment for MS is the same all over the world, including China and US.

The medicines need to be continued for long, and no permanent cure can occur once we stop the medications.

Best wishes,
