Brief Answer:
HSV 1 without any manifestation needs no treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query once again.

1.HSV 1 infection is a very common infection since childhood on wards. The presence of HSV 1 IgG positive indicates an old infection which could acquired few years back or even in your childhood. HSV 1 infection is in no way dangerous or life threatening.
2.When there is no recurrence or manifestations there is no need for any treatment.
3.The infection of your lung has no relation to HSV 1 infection.
4.Regarding the treatment of your lung infection could best decided by your physician. I don't think that there is no need for any change of antibiotics unless there is no response to treatment.
I hope that you got the adequate information you asked for.

Brief Answer:
Bronchial lavage is a safe procedure for lung disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.

Bronchial lavage is a measure to be adapted, when we are not able to fix the diagnosis through clinical examination or through sputum and X ray examination. It has no much of risk in skilled hands and with a strict aseptic precautions. Don't expect anything worse in a good hospital set up.

Brief Answer:
If temperature goes beyond 100 degree F, seek help of your doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Mild fever (<100 Degree F) following any procedure and lasting not more than 2 days is common and not to be bothered. Our body immune system would take care of mild infection introduced during the procedure and could eliminate the same, whereas high fever or fever not subsiding within 2 days, then you have to seek the help of your doctor.
