Brief Answer:
infection of the hair follicles

Detailed Answer:
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I will take care all of your medical concerns.

Pimples in between nose and upper lip are usually caused by an infection of the hair follicles by staphylococcus bacteria. This area is known as the dangerous area of the face (danger triangle of the face) and you should give due respect to the boils, pimples, and infections in this area, because infection from this area may spread in a retrograde fashion to the brain, causing cavernous sinus thrombosis, brain abscess and meningitis.

Avoid using a 5 blade razor and use traditional one blade razor and discard the blade after every shave. Don't rub the razor upwards. Always go downward. Don't use warm/hot water for shave. Don't rub the razor more than once for shaving in this area. Use shaving foam, don't use shaving brush to make foam form cream or from shaving gel.

If I was your treating physician, I would have prescribed you Bactrim DS 1 tablet twice daily by mouth for 3 days, if not allergic to. Plus tablet Ibuprofen 600 mg twice daily by mouth. Consult your physician for prescription of the same.

Have a wonderful time ahead. Hope I answered all of your questions. Let me know if you have any further clinical concerns. If satisfied, please give a five star rating and don't forget to close the discussion.

Regards!
