Brief Answer:
meet cardiologist urgently

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, welcome to HCM and thanks for choosing us.

I share your concerns about your husband' s illness. Generally chronic alcohol intake is associated with high blood pressure, so low blood pressure is certainly a cause of concern.(although your husband's blood pressure is still above 100/60, which is reference value)

There are several reasons for low blood pressure like heart ailments, fluid intake, electrolyte intake, vitamin deficiency, thyroid problems and drug intake.

However with the history of alcohol intake I would suspect heart ailment or nutrient imbalances. Your husband needs to visit his cardiologist urgently. Get an EKG, electrolyte study, echocardiogram to identify the reason behind low blood pressure. Once this is ruled out, we need to do other studies like thyroid, adrenals.

Meanwhile take care of his fluid intake (don't give excessive fluids too).

I hope my reply will help you. Please write to us for more information and follow up queries. I wish good health to your husband and whole family. Thanks
