Question: Hello,

For the past three days, I have had extremely itchy hands, feet, and arm pits. There are no blisters, but there is redness.
I am on birth control and 10 days ago finished a round of anti biotics for a throat infection. Other than that, have no changes in medication, food, or soap products.

Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
You seem to have developed skin allergy calked urticarial rash .
Such a skin rash can occur due to any body infection like cough or cold or urine or abdominal infections.
Also intake of medicines like antibiotics or pain killers can cause such a rash .
Avoid intake of any medicines .
Take some oral antihistamines like Benadryl or levocetrizine along to relieve the associated itching and allergy .
Continue to apply cortisone cream .
You might need a course of oral steroids if the itching still tends to persist or increase.
