Question: Dear Doctor

I am 28 years of age and had a baby 5 weeks before. I had allergy issues when I was 24 years for around one month. My mom took me to the doctor and did a chest X-ray, an ecg which came out normal. I was given deryphyllin and later Montez LC that did no good to me. Later I did a blood test where I esnophlia count was pretty high and had medication for the same and then I was okay. Even after that sometimes after dusting or cleaning the house I would have a slight issue with breathing but later would be okay when I use seroflo. During my pregnancy period I had absolutely no issues. After delivery the hospital gave me a pain killer brufen after which I had extreme breathing issues for 4 weeks. I was taken to a pulmonologist and a Doppler test was done which came out clean. I was on medrol 16 mg for 3 weeks and had to taper it off. It was effective the first 5 days and later did no good to me. And then I had blood test where it was found that I have bacterial infection and was on azitraal 500mg for 5 days and then was kind of okay for 1week. Now it has begun again and doc has advised Montec LC at night and seroflo since it has not hiked. Symptoms are:-

1. Difficulty in taking deep breath
2. Chest tightness

What is the actual issue and what are tests to be done. Above all I have epilepsy also for the past 14 years. I am on zenretard 200 mg and eptoin 100 mg.one each in the morning and evening. Breathing issue is troubling me a lot. Please help me. I also have a dog at home for the past 14years.

Brief Answer:
Get done allergy testing first.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of allergic disease is more.
You are also having high eosinophil count.
Best treatment of allergy is identification of allergen and if possible complete avoidance of it.
Common allergens are dust, pollens, animal fur, dander, chemicals etc.
You are staying with dog. So this might be the cause for allergy.
So better to get done
1. Serum IgE level
2. Allergy testing.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
