Question: I have upper respiratory gas, even drinking water causes belching. I have been experiencing this for 5 or 6 days.

You seem to be having indigestion that have many causes to develop. Some people having other diseases like diabetes mellitus get an issue of stomach motility called Gastroparesis. Sometimes, infection of the GI tract is the reason. Other causes may be Hyperacidity, Tumors and Strictures due to any chronic disease of the upper GI tract.
The next best step (especially when OTC management fails) is to consult a Gastroenterologist who will have to go for thorough physical examination and will run a battery of tests on you to rule out probable causes and to reach a definitive diagnosis. At this age with such issues, he may also go for an endoscopic examination of upper gastrointestinal tract. Any lesion may be located and fixed thereafter.
