Brief Answer:
Deranged blood sugars, UTI, pyelonephritis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.

Considerable increase in the frequency of urination and body aches can be because of a few things according to the history of your sister.

1) Uncontrolled blood sugars.
2) Urinary tract infection.
3) Pyelonephritis(infection of kidneys).

To rule then out your sister needs to get a proper checkup with your doctor. He might want to run some tests as well specially Blood fasting sugar, glucose tolerance, complete blood picture, urine examination and ultrasound Kidney-bladder-ureter. These investigations will enable the doctor to know what can be the cause. Then the treatment can be done according to the cause.

You can check her sugars at home if you have glucometer, once you have to do that in fasting and one is going to be done two hours after meal, deranged values will make the suspicion stronger. Specially if your sister is overweight or you have a family history of diabetes , this needs to be checked.

Bottom line is that you need to visit your doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards.

thank you Dr. XXXXXXX .my mom has type II diabetes and has glucometer at home .
My sister lives with her and surely she can use it . My sister is not over weight ,but her love for chocolate and ice cream has affected her health as she is older now.

For sure she needs to see a doctor and get tested .

thanks again .
