Suggest Remedies For Diarrhea And Elevated Liver Enzyme Levels
Question: I am a teacher.working 16 hrs a day recently I got dharia and in my medical report shot came 51 and shot 75 so what medicine I take ? And for how long?
Brief Answer:
ORS is the mainstay of treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your query as well as the attachment. It seems that you have attached a wrong file. Anyway, unless the stool is blood stained antibiotics are usually not required as the infections are self limiting. The mainstay of treatment is ORS (oral rehydration solution) in order to replace the lost water and salts. You need to be patient as it may take a few days for full recovery. Till then you have to continue taking ORS.
If you can upload the medical report, I would perhaps be able to comment on it.
Regards

In my medical report I have sgot 51 and sgpt 75 is showing high in the medical report that reason I consulted . So what medicine i take ?to get normal sgot and sgpt. And takes how much times to become normal. And what precaution require?
Brief Answer:
Do not take any medicines.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Sorry for the inadvertent delay in responding.
The SGOT and SGPT levels of 51 and 75 respectively do not seem to be concerning to me even though they might be just out of the normal range. Please do not take any medicines for the same. Providing the liver rest is the best way to bring down these levels. Medicines will only increase the metabolic load on the liver.
Just eat a light diet low in fat and things would be fine. I do not even see the significance of a follow up testing.

My doctor already started medicine tab Rehptin twice for 10 days and Amicolon once day for 10 days. Already 5 days got over and I feeling better so I stop this medicines?
Brief Answer:
Not essential.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Both of Rheptin and Amicolon contain vitamins and antioxidants. These are non-specific in action. Although it is unlikley to harm, it is unlikely to benefit either. The situation will improve with time and the credit will unnecessarily go to these medicines. The choice is yours.
Be sure to abstain from alcohol (if you are not an alcoholic, it does not apply).
