Question: Hi doctor,

Hi all,

I have been diagnosed as having azoospermia after clomid treatment for 10 months of one tablet every other day, i have done semen analysis and it is showing cryopoospermia, and there has been some normal swimming sperms.

Also I have seen urologist one month ago and he told me you have testicle infection which he prescribed cipra 500 mg for week and I returned to him and confirmed that I am free from the infection.

The urologist also done scrotal scan And he told me your testicle size is normal and there is no blockage which I can see and suggest to see specialist infertility.

Could you please help me how I can increase sperm count?.

Brief Answer:
TESA required

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about improving sperm count.

If you have azoospermia, it is not possible to improve sperm count as it means there are no sperms.

You can try under going procedures like TESA to remove your sperms and if sperms are available, you can opt for IVF / ICSI.

If there is blockage then you need to get operated to remove the blockage. Get TESA done first to check if production of sperms is normal.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Brief Answer:
Yes. ICSI can be done

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If you found normal sperms they can be definitely used for ICSI. Nothing to worry.

But it is of doubt as both semen analysis reports are contradicting. You need to see an IVF Centre and get semen analysis done to check whether there are sperms. If yes are they normal enough to be used for ICSI.

Even if you have few normal sperms, they can be used for ICSI.

Let me know if you need any more clarification.

This has been confirmed by double semen analysis.

I understand I will use ICSI or IVF.

My question is how can I increase sperm count?. Or what medication will help me

Thanks for your suggestion.

Do I also need any other medication such as proviron or HCG? Or any other medication that help me improve sperm count

Will this be the same of the mexoma medication? Attached is the picture.

And how long do I continue to taking antioxidiants?.

Brief Answer:
Repeat semen analysisis an IVF Centre

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Other medicines like proviron or hCG will help you if there are other hormonal problems like low testosterone. If not these are not of much use.

Antioxidant medicines does not make lot of difference in azoospermia patients. You can take it for 3 months while getting ICSI done. Other than this no role.

Please repeat your semen analysis from IVF centre to check if sperms are seen as they do so a good job in finding sperms.

Let me know if you need any more clarification.
