As you may know, shingles is actually caused by a virus. The virus is generally dormant under the skin but can become reactivated and cause symptoms in the setting of shingles.

unfortunately there is no good remedy other than a prescription to treat this particular condition.

I recommend that you go to your local medical provider as soon as possible to start treatment. It is extremely important that you start medication as soon as possible to limit the likelihood that you will develop long-term nerve pain related to the shingles outbreak.
