Suggest Dosage For Crocin For A Child

Question: Hi Doctor.. My child is of 8.5 years (Boy). Weight 40 KG. He is having viral fever of 102-103 degree F. At evening 8.00 PM he was scheduled to have paracetamol (Combiflam) drug which he had taken but at 11.00 PM he was again 102. I have given him Crocin then. I hope it is safe as the next dose of paracetamol is again at 8 AM in the morning ?

Thanks for writing to us.
Combiflam can be given only 2 or three times a day maximum.
You need to maintain a gap of At least4 hours between combiflam and crocin .
You have given in 3 hours which is not advisable .
However one dose will not cause any harm.
Next dose at 8 am should be OK
If fever doesn't settle down get him examined by your Pediatrician.
