Question: I cannot take NSAID for arthritis. Could I take Celebrex?. I am 74 and had a GI bleed. Any other drugs I could use?

Tricky.

Detailed Answer:
Celebrex was developed to be stomach sparing. It was not reliable enough to be able to advertise that in the US. It IS very strong. Taking at or below the lowest dose and monitoring for any bleeding is one option.
There are medicines (proton pump inhibitors) that have been shown to help prevent GI bleeding in this context.
Vimovo was developed for this. It is helpful in some people.
If the arthritis was in a very few places an NSAID patch is the best NSAID for very low GI problems.
