Hi again

Detailed Answer:
Hi
thank you for coming back
I read your questions and understand your concern
Hsv1 is a transmitted when one of the patient is negative and the other one positive for the virus (herpes)
Treatment is needed , local and systemic and should be treated both couple person
If it is possible you can describe your current symptoms or describe the lesions?
Wish you all the best
Waiting to hear from you soon

Ive only had one outbreak and got the swab test done. The outbreak was very very mild. I only had some sores. And they didnt hurt, i didnt have a fever no pain. The swab test came back hsv1 positive. The doctor told me nothing about the condition. But now im hearing mixed things like genital hsv1 isnt a big deal and cant be transmitted genitally. Do i tell people i have it? How can i pass it on? Do i need medication?

I thought genital hsv1 after a year the body builds up enough antibodies to fight the virus. Is that not true?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Eris Ranxha (5 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Partially true

Detailed Answer:
Hi again
thank you for coming back and sorry for not been enough clear
It is true that body builds antibody enough not to show the disease or symptom but not to permanently control the virus
As you are positive on tests antiviral therapy is reccomended
You should discuss with your doctor about the dosage of acyclovir
Hope I have clarified all your doubts
Please feel free to ask further questions or close the query otherwise
Wish you good health
