Hi XXXXXXX,

Well H Pylori infection can explain pain only in presence of acute gastritis which is usually associated with short duration symptoms and vomiting or presence of a peptic ulcer.

In absence of both, it is unlikely to cause pain and eradication may not really relieve symptoms.

There are other H Pylori therapies like triple therapy (1st line). Quadruple therapy is usually given on failure of triple therapy containing proton pump inhibitor, amoxycillin, clarithromycin. Also a sequential therapy based on amoxycillin, levofloxacin and tinidazole with proton pump inhibitor is available and well tolerated.

Hope this answers your query.

Hi XXXXXXX,

Thank you for the query.

Well you can take a combination of neksium, amoxycillin and clarithromycin for 14 days. Without an opportunity to examine you in person, it is not legal and ethical to prescribe the exact dosage and schedule of these drugs. I apologize for that. Your primary care physician will know about these drugs.

These drugs are usually available in combination as a kit. You can check over the counter also with the help of your pharmacist or family physician.

Hope this answers your query. Please do reply if any further query.

Wish you a speedy recovery.

Regards

Hi XXXXXXX,
Thank you for the query.
Well, no specific restrictions but avoiding coffee and aerated drinks are known to help. Also avoid excess spicy and eating too much at a time should be avoided.
Drink and eat hygienic food as h pylori infection is usually acquired through there contamination.
Thank you for the query.
Wish her a speedy recovery.
