Brief Answer:
Not a symptom of HIV.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor " service.

I have read your query and here is my advice.

Vertigo is not a symptom of HIV infection or later stages such as AIDS.

In other words, only vertigo doesn't mean that you were infected with HIV.

In the first stage symptoms are flu-like.

If in doubt or if you had unprotected sex then you should get tested ( HIV tests) in order to exclude it.

Discuss with your Doctor for these issues.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Feel free to ask if you have further questions.

Brief Answer:
Very unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

If you had protected sex is very unlikely for you to be infected with HIV.

Furthermore you didn't had any symptoms to suspect it.

So, I think yours is not a HIV case.

Hope I helped you.

Take care.

Brief Answer:
Not typical symptoms for HIV infection.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

If these symptoms lasted a couple of days, it is possible that a common viral infection or flu may have caused them.

Again, if you had protected sex, chances of HIV infection are very unlikely.

Hope I helped you.

Greetings.

Brief Answer:
Mostly inner ear problems.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

This type of vertigo is mainly encountered in conditions that affect the normal function of inner ear.

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, for example, is a good possibility.

Hope I helped you.

Brief Answer:
Answered below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

The sore throat of HIV does not differ from other types of sore throat, however, only one symptom does not diagnose a condition.

There are several criteria for HIV infection diagnosis and in your case, I don't think you fulfill any.

Hope this helps.
