Brief Answer:
Chronic sinusitis increases chances of LPR .

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.

In my opinion , chronic sinusitis increases chances of LPR because postnasal discharge from sinuses goes into laryngopharynx .

If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you

Tab Esomeprazole 20mg for LPR better than omeprozale.

Steam Inhalation twice daily, Saline nasal spray thrice daily ,
Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast combination in night ,
antibiotic Ofloxacin + ornidazole combination twice daily after food &
Paracetamol for pain , headache .

Investigation needed CT SCAN PNS & Diagnostic Nasal Endoscopy.

Here my suggestion is that you should consult your ENT doctor for thorough examination, necessary investigations and treatment.

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.

Actually i was diagnosed with lpr before sinus issues appeared. I was wondering if acid coming up frequently irritates nasal and sinus passages. Thank you

Brief Answer:
Acid coming up can irritates upto nasopharynx.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the follow up query.

Acid coming up can irritates upto nasopharynx but difficult to irritates nasal & sinuses mucosa .

In your case sinusitis may be because of seasonal allergy or sinus infection or Anatomical obstruction, will clear on CT Scan PNS.
