Posted on Thu, 18 Aug 2016
Question: I have one ovary only. No uterus, cervix, or tubes. Do I still have eggs? Would like to use a surrogate to have a child with my fiancé. Is this possible?

Brief Answer:
As below

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
With only one ovary, the chances of your having your own eggs, particularly at the age of 48, are very low.
In fact, next to impossible.
You would have to go for donor eggs, I am afraid.
You can get your ovarian reserve tested by having AMH ( anti mullerian hormone ) levels measured.
That would truly reflect upon your ovarian reserve.
All the best.
