Question: Hello,

I had an EKG done this morning and it cam back abnormal. I am 35, a little heavy 30BMI and my labs came back good. A litle high on LDL 125 and CRP 4.2

Evrything else loked good, high HDL 54 aand glucose and blood good.

SHould I be worried that I have a major issue going on, or do these things come back abnormal a lot?

Brief Answer:
What abnormality was found on EKG?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this abnormal reading that was noted on your EKG reading and all the inconveniences this might have caused you.

There are several abnormalities that can be detected on EKG. Some pose no threat to good health and others need more attention. Can you tell me what the abnormality was so that I can look into and tell whether it needs any further attention and there is any reason to get worried about?

With your doctor saying all would be fine, this is most likely a benign finding and inconsequential. With the other lab results being great, it is more reassuring. I will also like that you work on dropping excess kilograms as this would go a long way to help improve your overall health status and cardiovascular health in particular.

I hope this helps. I wish you well and hope to hear from you. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

The ECG came back and here is what it said

Normal sinus rate
Left axis deviation
Cannot rule out anterior infarct, age undetermined
Abnormal ECG

Maybe that helps. What could this mean medically?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
This sounds like machine interpreted!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Please, get the strip to a cardiologist for interpretation. These are automated interpretations from EKG machines and need to be interpreted by a trained EKG reader.

This shows nothing acute and in the absence of any symptoms, ignore these stereotyped machine interpretations.

I wish you well. Let me hear from you and know what you think!
