Brief Answer:
It has some benefits

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome ot hcm.
Wellm it these mets are not operable then there is obviously advnaced stage of colon carcinoma. SIRT is one of locoregional therapeutic possibilities which by some studies has good results in reducing tumor mass in liver but generally it cant lead to cure, this is only palliative method which can slow down progression of tumor. it has similar benefits as chemoembolisation or RFA. Chemotherapy has various effect depending form patient to patient. Unfoetunately, some types of tumor show bad response and there is no way to improve this response. Chemoth regimen can be changed but generally, man shouldnt expect too much. Wish you good health Regards

Brief Answer:
it also depends from case to case

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
This is similar to chemotherapy response.
sometomes there is good effect ,sometime not. it is good method since this less invasive and can cause reduction of tumor size and it will slow progression. but it cant kill all tumor cells.

For sirt do tumors need to be in 1 area in liver?

Brief Answer:
It is hard to predict

Detailed Answer:
it is hard to predict since i dont know size of tumor and other findings but if this is stage 4 colon cancer with inoperable liver metastsis then prognosis is poor and I am afraid that SIRT cant prolong life for long. it may slow down progression for maybe 3-6 months comparing to treatment without SIRT.
SIRT can be applied also in multiple liver lesions but results are best for single lesions.
