Brief Answer:
Give me some more details.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

I need some more details to answer better.
Do you have regular periods? These tests were done on which day of your period?
Why did you do these tests? Have you done FSH and LH tests? The above tests need to be done along with FSH and LH. What is the result?

You should also know that each lab has its own normal ranges.

Waiting for your reply.

Best wishes,
Dr Rama

Im on birth control so i have noticed though that my periods are very light. I did my blood test yesterday and i was just letting you that was the day of my last peroid. FSH and LH were not ordered. I saw the doctor because i have been having a sour taste in my mouth for the past month and i have seen the ENT, dentist, had an upper GI series with barium and everything normal in yhat area. I noticed i have mood swings, night sweats, vaginal dryness once in a while. So the doctor ordered these test. Do you think it might be related to something else. Is this taste in my mouth neuro-related. I did test h pylori postive though.. Just trying to figure out this sour taste in my mouth. Im only in birth control pills and now the doctor has me on antibiotocs for h pylori, which i started today.

Brief Answer:
Details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.

When you are on birth control pills, these tests should not be done. Birth control pills suppress your pituitary -ovary axis, and so these hormones will be low.

Sour test is not related to any Gyne conditions that I am aware of.
If you are having night sweats and vaginal dryness, get FSH, LH, and estradiol done after stopping the birth control pills for a month.

Hope the sour test subsides with H.Pylori treatment.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama

Could this be a neurological disorder? The sour taste in my mouth.

Brief Answer:
Details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am a Gynecologist.
I am not an expert in neurology, please try to understand. I suggest you wait till you complete your H. pylori treatment. Get a dental examination too.

If the sour taste still persists, then you may consult neurologist.

Best wishes,
Dr Rama
