Is Pregnancy Possible After Unprotected Sex During Non Ovulation Days?

default
Posted on Sat, 28 Jun 2014
Question: Girlfriend usually has a cycle of 31-34 days. She usually has ovulation symptoms a week and half after the last day of her period. Her last period began on May 22 and ended 6 days later. We had unprotected sex on early morning XXXXXXX 1st and early morning XXXXXXX 2nd. Based on ovulation calculators, dating back 90 days ago, she is calculated to have her ovulation period starting on the XXXXXXX 8th, with her ovulation 4 days after. She has been dealing with mild to moderate stress and mild illness for the past two weeks due to travel, moving, and work. Is it possible for her to be experiencing pregnancy type symptoms?

Brief Answer:
Does not seems to be likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

As per the dates that you have mentioned her period must have ended on 27th of May.

Normally in most of the females who are having regular cycle the ovulation occurs in the mid cycle(about 15-17th day in her case) plus or minus 2-4 days.

You had unprotected act on 1st and 2nd XXXXXXX this period is out of this probable ovulation days. So chances of pregnancy are very less in most of the cases. The symptoms that she might be having at present should be due to some different reason other than pregnancy. Even in case of pregnancy symptoms normally do not start until one misses a period.

Please visit your primary care physician for examination and treatment as per need.

I hope this clarifies your concern.

Thanks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Good to hear from you again.

I have reviewed her feedback.

I think please advise her to visit her primary care physician and take necessary treatment.

Pregnancy as written earlier seems to be very unlikely.
