Question: I took an I-pill on 13th of Nov. And had unprotected sex after 79 hours of taking the pill. Do I need to take another I-pill? If yes, is there any other alternative medicine?

Brief Answer:
No need to take another pill.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.

I-pill is effective for up to 3-4 days. But there is no clear literature on when does the fertility returns after taking one i-pill.

Once you have taken i-pill 79 hours before the intercourse, there are very less chances of pregnancy. i-pill is a high progesterone pill which makes the uterine environment unsuitable for pregnancy.

I would suggest you to wait for your periods. Repeatedly taking ipills can do more harm than good. Practice protected sex please.

Eat papaya, pineapple and oranges to facilitate your periods.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
