Brief Answer:
You are safe.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
You don't need any vaccination if your dog is vaccinated completely. Moreover the exposure you had was a low risk exposure.
However since you received the 3 doses of vaccine you are further safe. Infact they were not required.
Yes you are right that a rabid dog seldom survives more then 10 days. Since you pet is Healthy even after 45 days of the vaccination, there is no risk at all now.
You are perfectly safe from rabies now.
I hope it helps.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
Stay Healthy.

Sir thanks for your well detailed answer!!sir now what's the role of this 3 vaccines which was given on 0 3 and 7 days??

Sir I was vaccinated at age of 8-9 for hepatitis b!!i just want to know I need any booster doses or is that enough??because at that time doctor told me that only one time vacciantion is needed!!if I touch some one by holding hand suffering from hepatitis b and blood drop on my skin which is not broken and completely intact does it cause hepatitis??

Brief Answer:
No action required.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.Those vaccines taken for rabies would provide you immunity. However you are safe.
Now as far as Hepatitis B vaccination is concerned if you have received 3 doses that is at 0, 1 and 6 month then you don't require any booster dose.
If you have doubt over your vaccination status then you can get Anti HBs levels done that would tell you about the immunity level.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

Yes they are safe

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Yes these vaccines are relatively safe. They won't cause harm. Only allergic reactions are reported, but could have occurred when the vaccine was given

Brief Answer:
No further treatment required.

Detailed Answer:
Hi. It's always better to get your dog vaccinated properly.
Now as far as the concept of 10 days observation is concerned yes that is true but is not a landmark.
Variations have been seen. So if bite happens by a steer dog or a non vaccinated pet dog we always give complete course of vaccination.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
