Is An HIV Antibody Test Done At 4th Month Conclusive?

default
Posted on Tue, 18 Nov 2014
Question: I had sexual intercourse with 2 CSWs. First one in the month of January 2014 and second one was on May 2014. In first case during sex condom slipped. Second case condom was intact, but we did deep kissing. I had HIV antibody test on 29th September 2014 and result was negative. I am in stigma that the lab really conducted the test and gave report or just prepare it without testing. I am attaching the report. Please review and reply.

Brief Answer:
Review the test at other Laboratory if you doubt

Detailed Answer:
HI.
You had sex on two occasions the last one was may 2014 means more than 5 months, you got tested 29 th Sept 2014 and it is negative.
No one would would give the report without proper testing.

The alternative to your doubt is to have a repeat test at other laboratory.
The confirmatory western blot tests is usually done if the Elisa test is positive to confirm HIV infection.

Do not worry at the moment as your test is negative and you can get the HIV and AIDS only if your sexual partner would have it.

Sir, am outside XXXXXXX and here HIV testing procedure is very stringent and complicated. Anyway did you feel the pathology lab from where I did this test is authentic. They are claiming that it was a 4th Generation antibody test and very reliable. My last encounter was totally protected sex but with deep kissing.
