Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that Lipitor is a drug indicated in dyslipidemia, which is a known cardio-vascular risk factor.

I would recommend taking it only if you have dyslipidemia, which means high cholesterol levels.

To be more specific, I would recommend taking lipitor in case of a ratio Total cholesterol/HDL above 4.5.

Otherwise, it is not necessary taking it.

I would not recommend taking Lipitor in case of heart failure.

Some tips to reduce your cholesterol levels in a natural way, without the need of Lipitor would be:

- use Mediterranean diet
- take plenty of food rich in omega 3 fatty acids (walnuts, fish oil, fish, etc.)
- reduce saturated fat and sweats in your diet
- perform a lot of physical activity.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
