Brief Answer:
Repeat b hcg levels and ultrasound

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am here to help you. hCh tests are very sensitive these days. So I would like to suggest you to take one. If values are positive then you need to repeat an ultrasound otherwise not. If hcg levels are negative then it could be a wrong ultrasound report and blood clots could have been misinterpreted as retained products of conception. If hcg levels are positive then a repeat ultrasound and depending upon the size of retained products you would need repeat abortion pills or surgical abortion.

Take care all the best.

Brief Answer:
Serum hcg test

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I am referring to blood hcg levels and not the urine pregnancy test as it is the most sensitive parameter. If negative then nothing to worry as the blood clots could have been mistaken for retained products of conception.

Brief Answer:
Retained products of conception

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your b hcg report is suggestive of retained products of conception so in consultation with a doctor you will need to undergo either an abortion or retake the pills.

Ideally you should undergo a dilatation and curettage to make sure that the uterus is completely empty of all the contents.

Brief Answer:
Serum b hcg most sensitive

Detailed Answer:
Hi,the best modality would be to undergo a dilatation and curettage so that this time it is ensured that no products get in the uterus. As you have already taken mtp pills twice so no point taking it again and no other modality is available.

Brief Answer:
Retained products can cause excess bleeding

Detailed Answer:
Hi, retained products in the uterus can cause sudden and excess bleeding and can cause infection inside uterus so it's best to remove them. Secondly d&c is an absolutely safe procedure and is done under short anaesthesia so not painful.
