How To Determine Ovulation Days With Irregular Periods?
Question: I was diagnose with pcos a few months ago.. I recently started using the opks.. Nov 5 got my period 2 days later started having pain on my left ovary until Nov 13 I got a positive the next day negative I'm not sure if did ovulated how do I know if pcos is affecting tests?? And Dec 8 I got a period but It was dark brown with red it lasted 2days.. So i started testing for ovulation negatives until today Dec 21 I tested it wasn't the morning urine I tested around 1145ish and the straps were positive I went to buy a clear blue digital but it came back negative I used the same urine sample.. My questions how do I know if im ovulating?? witch test should I trust?? Oh and this month i havent had any pain on my left ovary so I'm confused.. I dont constantly get positive so when I do get positives is i only get it one time this two months

I read your query and I understand your concerns about OPK and confusing results.
OPK basically detects surge of a hormone called LH.
Since PCO women already have increased LH. These OPK including clear blue are not to be relied upon in PCOS.
Therefore you are getting varying and confusing results.
Abdominal pain does not signify anything.
Hence best to predict ovulation in PCO woman would be do get follicular growth ultrasound scan done to check ovulation. This ultrasound scan is a radiological investigation.
