Brief Answer:
budesonide maximal dosages and duration

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

It would have been more appreciable, if you had shared the indication for its usage, whether you are using it for asthma or any lung disease, or for inflammatory bowel disease, bacause maximal dosages vary accordingly.

The dosages you have mentioned are probably for bowel disease, if I am not wrong, and in such cases it's maximal duration is normally upto 8 weeks, and if remission of disease whether crohns or ulcerative colitis, is not achieved consider switching to other modalities and in adults before switching it is normally made sure that upto 9 mg per day had been used, and then tapered before stopping and immediate cessation is avoided.

In case of any side effects or intolerance to steroids is observed, then consideration of immediate tapering is suggested.

In respiratory disease where it is used in inhalatory forms the maximal dosages are upto few hundred micrograms and not in milligrams.

Also make sure that, concomitant use of grape fruit juice should be avoided as it increases the effect of drug.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me generously before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.

It is inflamatory bowel issue. It is, as previously mentioned, lymphatic colitis. What other treatments are available for the treatment of lymphatic colitis?

Brief Answer:
lymphatic colitis and management options

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Sad to here that you had to suffer from it. Well treatment options other than steroids aim at multiple areas.

Using food with less fat and less fibre is usually recommended. Apart from that any bowel irritants should be avoided, like cessation of smoking and alcohol and stopping any medications like antacids, and some anxiolytics.

Also the replacement of micronutrients in cases of symptoms of malabroptikns.

Anti diarrhoeals in acute episodes along with replacement of lost water and electrolytes should be established.

Well in your case for maintainence therapies, since the diseases is basically inflammation of bowel so anti inflammatory drugs like aspirin or steroids like in your case, being beclamethasone can be used. But nothing is shown to comely cure the disease, only partial or temporary remissions are achieved normally. Hoping you a speedy recovery.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask directly via my profile in future. kindly rate me before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
