See electric shock injuries can be fatal. So I need a few more details to help you better. 1. Probably it must be AC shock. Still if any other tell me 2. For how long was he in contact with the electricity ? 3. Did he fell down by thrust? 4. Any unconscious followedcby the event? Any Bleed or Seizure? 5. Any history of any cardiac event following electric shock? 6. Was he taken to hospital? What treatment was offered to him and did they do any ECG? 7. Any burn by electric shock? Any electricity entry or exit point noticeable? I would be able to help you better with these details, preferably answer in point wise manner only.

Brief Answer: Get his NCV Detailed Answer: I appreciate your point wise reply. I would like to tell you that the numbness in his and is due to electric injury to nerves of that area. Now recovery would depend on the extent of damage. In my practise i do Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) test to see for that. And also i add drugs like Methylcobalamin for a better healing of nerves. Some doctors also use steroids for this purpose, but that is not strongly supported. If he has neuropathic pains also, Pregabalin would help. In nut shell, recovery would depend on the extent of damage. In general, what i have seen in my practise is that if damage is very little it gets better in 1-2 weeks. But if damage is extensive it might take months. So, its better to get his NCV done. Also, such cases are admitted for 48 hours on cardiac monitoring as there might be arrhythmias complicating the disease. If you have any further query, ask me please
