acetaminophen half life is 2-4 hours. Hydrocodone half life is 3.3-4.4 hours. In order to achieve an almost complete (>96%) clearance of the drug 5-6 half lives are required. So 6 half lives for acetaminophen is 24 hours and 24-26 hours for hydrocodone. In some patients the times can be different because of individual differences.
