detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Achromobacter xylosoxidans is a microorganism commonly found in nature and mostly in aqueous environments.
It is a very rare cause of infections in humans and usually causes only opportunistic infections. This means that it causes infections mostly in immunocompromised patients. These are individuals with a week immune system due to underlying medical condition including malignancies, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, liver disease etc.
This organism is also known to cause infections in hospitals (nosocomial infections). This can happen when medical materials for intravascular interventions like saline, disinfectants, iodine, and intravascular catheters are contaminated with this bacteria.Patients in risk for infection are those that are submitted to interventions or other medical manipulations.

So to answer your query ,this microorganism is not very contagious from one person to another through cough and doesn't cause any infection in people with a competent immune system.
So you can come in contact with this organism present in environment but it won't cause any problem to you.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any other question or doubt to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
