How Can Severe Vomiting And Weakness During Pregnancy Be Treated?
Question: My wife is 3.5 months pregnant.During first 2 month there was a bleeding and continue vomitting and vomitting is still there 8 to 9 times a day.No bleeding at present. In my previous city dr prescribed duphaston 10, Pregnor. As i have trsfered here dr prescrribed to stop those medicine and given gestofit 200 sr, supracal hd and irozorb. WHICH TO CONTINUE NOW AS VOMITTING AND WEAKNESS IS STILL THERE and after 2 months me and my wife will again move to the previous place..

Any one of the medications, Duphaston or Gestofit can be used because both of them contain progesterone. You can choose whichever she is tolerating better. I would prefer an oral dose of 200 mg./day. You can follow your latest doctor's prescription in this matter as your wife is in her fourth month of pregnancy now.
Moreover, the need for progesterone supplements will decline once the placenta completely takes over the function of the corpus luteum by 14-16 weeks of pregnancy.
Pregnor can be continued since she continues with morning sickness.
Supracal contains calcium supplement prescribed at this age and so is the iron supplement, Irozorb. These medications, including progesterone supplements can cause nausea and hence have to be taken with food. Progesterone is better taken either one hour before or two hours after food.
Pregnor should preferably be given in bed as soon as she wakes up in the morning. Please maintain proper electrolyte balance. Avoid oily and fried foods. Give her fresh fruits, dry fruits and fresh vegetables. Stress should be avoided at any cost. Rest in bed, preferably in left lateral position, periodic follow up with sonograms and avoidance of travel and intercourse are needed.

Dr advised pregnor 2 tab at night nd duphaston 1tab at night. AS u advised, can gestofit be taken along with pregnor at night. SECOND, on thursday 4 saline has been given due to weakness and constant vomitting. 2 DAYS it was better but still vomiting occurs after taking any food. THIRD, can that calcium and iron can be taken along with pregnor and gestofit. She is getting weak cos of vomitting and water coming out of it. PLEASE ADVISE.
And another issue is motion is also not clear. SHE SAYS FOOD IS GETTING DIGESTED BUT MOTION DONT HAPPEN FOR THE LAST 4 DAYS.

calcium tablet is taking at lunch, iron tablet with breakfast mam. I supposed u have written pregnor can be taken at morning in ur advice. can 2 tab of pregnor be taken at morning empty stomach?
As in the second month bleeding happen dr advice to take as much rest as possible so physical activty gets reduced.
please advice for constipation and vomiting problem. And yes 2 spoon of cremaffin plus has been taken since yesterdy for motion.
