Question: Hello Sir,

I am 28 years old male. I have a medical history of IBS.
Recently i felt some discomfort in the stomach and back. So i consulted a doctor.
He prescribed the following tests:

I can observe that the count in MCHC and Lymphocytes are high in the result:

I am really tensed now. Could you please tell me what this result indicates ?

Hello
Thanks for your query. There is nothing to worried about in your test results. They are fine. Considering history of ibs the current symptoms sre likely to be part of somatform spectrum of disorders only. Hence I would suggest you undergo a psychiatric evaluation to start appopriate medication or psychotherapy. Hope you found the information useful.

Hello Sir,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

Could you please tell me why the count of MCHC and Lymphocytes are higher than the biological reference value ?

parameter result units Biological Reference Value
MCHC 38 % 32 - 36
Lymphocytes 49 % 20 - 45

I heared that the high value of Lymphocytes indicates the chance of Blood Cancer.
Thats why i got tensed and asking you the same again ?

Do you mean these high values are ok ?

Thanks& Regards,

Hello
Both the values are marginally higher. Hence they hold no diagnostic signifance currently. Hence you need not worry about any serious disorder.
