Question: Brief Answer:
Not serious

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I have seen the reports attached.

No, SGOT and SGPT values though high are not serious. Such readings can be seen when one has consumed spicy and oily foods in the previous day.

There is no need for any treatment . Avoiding spicy and oily food would reverse the condition.

Hi, My mother underwent full body test. We found that SGOT value is 64.4 (normal is < 31) and SGPT is 45.9 (normal is 10-28). This suggests that she has liver problem. I wanted to know if this is severe? What is the required treatment for this? How can this be improved? I am attaching the complete report in case this is helpful to diagnose. Thanks a lot Alok

Hello Sir,
Thank you for your reply.
It is good to know that it is not serious.
I also wanted to know if other reports about eosinophiles, cholesterol and vitamins are serious or not.
Eosinophiles- 11.8% (0-6)
Total cholesterol- 234mg/dl
Vitamin D- 15.43 ng/ml (<20 deficiency)
Vitamin B12 -200 pg/ml
Are these numbers serious?
Should she go for vitamin tablets for their deficiency? Or should she go for fish liver capsules which have these vitamins and omega 3 as well? What do you recommend?
For cholesterol- Can this be reduced using proper food? Or is medication required?

For Eosinophilia- What should be done for this? Medication? Food?
Please let me know if you require any report.
Thanks a lot
Alok

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Eosinophiles- 11.8% (0-6)

--Could be a result of recent allergic reaction or even infestation with helminths.

Total cholesterol- 234mg/dl

-- May need to reduce the fat in diet and exercise more

Vitamin D- 15.43 ng/ml (<20 deficiency)

-- Definitely needs supplement of Vit D. Cap Tayo 60k one per week for 6 weeks followed by 1 per month for 6 months.

Vitamin B12 -200 pg/ml

--- Needs Vit B12 supplementation. Injection Neurobione forte one every alternate day for 5 doses.
