Detailed Answer:
Hello there,
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service...
I've gone through your query in details...
I can understand your concern...

Yes, please continue taking the syrup as well as the Primosa tablets as per the advice of your doctor.

Among the diets and lifestyle modifications, please see the following:

-First and foremost, cut down salty, packaged, processed foods from your diet

-High fiber, high protein, and complex carbohydrate diets and greens should be your primary choice of food

-Replace the daily wheat/flour to multigrain whole-wheat products.

-Have brown/multigrain bread instead of regular white bread.

-Try to have fish, fish products, chicken and avoid red meat. If you're vegetarian, take plenty of legumes, pulses, low-fat dairy products, and yogurt-based foods.

-No smoking strictly (if at all do).

-Drink plenty of mineral/R.O purified water throughout the day (at least 2.5ltr per day).

-Have healthy snacks like almonds, pistachios, roasted flux/chia seeds, a bowl of salads every day.

-Drink Green tea rather than black tea. Avoid Coffee and caffeinated drinks (soda, energy drinks) as much as possible.

-Practice half an hour of meditation and daily physical activities (freehand exercises, jogging. evening walk). If you're overweight then it's the right time to join a gym under a trained professional and start working out. Keep a fixed timetable of your sleep, try to have a 6-8hours of a sound sleep.

Just follow all these and observe how you stay afterward.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
No, it won't, please see the detailed answer below...

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,

No, it won't work like painkillers.

To check for hormonal imbalance, investigations such as Thyroid function test, Serum Luteinizing Hormone (LH), Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), LH/FSH ratio, Prolactine, total Testosterone (yes it's important to check their levels in women too), derived free Testosterone, Sex hormone binding globulin, Androstenedione, and Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) should be done.

Yes, hormonal imbalance can certainly affect the normal functioning of the body. However, the lists of symptoms are numerous and endless. I'd suggest not to worry about them and simply get this tests done in the first place.

Please discuss regarding these with your treating Gynecologist whether s/he shares the same views and prescribe you the same.

Take Care
Kind Regards
