Brief Answer:
Taking two doses will be safe enough.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The rabies vaccine is an antibody based vaccine. Taking alcohol does not affect the immune response of the body. The doses that you have taken earlier will be considered as full immunization. Now taking the two booster doses will be sufficient. No need to worry.
I hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Do take a full course of 5 injections.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If you took the full course in 1989 and the last 2 shots to booster the immunity were in 2013, then it was a long time to maintain the full immunity. This time I would advise you to take full course of 5 injections to re boost your immunity.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Brief Answer:
Immunity decreases without proper boosters.

Detailed Answer:
The immunity in case of Rabipur decreases after 15 years if timely boosters are not taken. It is best to take full course now for best protection.
