Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health query and following things should be kept in mind before consuming Shilajit:

I. Since it is a rich source of calcium thus helps make bone stronger and because of its anti aging properties ( due to presence of anti oxidants) it is the single most important benefIt of using shilajit by people.

II. One should check with certain blood parameters like:

. Iron level: since shilajit is a rich source of iron and taking iron supplements with it can cause iron toxicity.

. Uric acid level: since known to cause hyperuricemia thus should not be taken more than prescribed.

. Lower blood pressure: may cause dizziness, nausea, giddiness in some people so should be taken with meals.

III. known as the "indian viagra" it improves stamina but depending on whether you are taking it in raw form, as capsule.
