Does Intake Of Metronidazole Help In Curing UTI?

Question: I began having UTI symptoms two days ago. I took ago and I have taken 4 doses of metronidazole 500 mg that were prescribed previously. what should I do? will it go away? I have one more antibiotic left.

For a typical urinary tract infection metronidazole may not be the most ideal antibiotic. We tend to use other antibiotics as a first-line for treatment of typical urinary tract infections including the Bactrim or Cipro for.

Metronidazole is used to treat a number of different types of infections includinginfections of the gastrointestinal tract as well as bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis. If you have a bacterial urinary tract infection however and alternate antibiotic may be more appropriate.
