Brief Answer:
Yes,alcohol and fatty liver causes increase in CEA

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
Thanks for writing to HCM

Your plasma carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) level is increased due to alcohol intake and fatty liver. Its association is proved.
CEA level will come down after discontinuing alcohol.
It is important to assess liver damage by complete Liver function test.
You need complete LFT(includes bilirubin level,SGOT,SGPT,GGT,Alkaline phosphatase).
You should try to quit alcohol completely. You may need medicines if LFT is deranged.
Fatty liver disease is a reversible stage and it can be reversed by diet and life style modification.
You should avoid fatty and junk, fried food.
You should increase your physical activity in the form of walking, exercise.
You should take lot of fruits and vegetables in your food.
