Brief Answer:
Severe constipation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Chronic constipation generally results from inadequate fiber or fluid intake or from disordered colonic transit or anorectal function common with advancing age (as you are 82 years old now).
Hypothyroidism needs exclusion and Serum T3, T4 & TSH should be done.
White drops of stool presumably mucus may be due to Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)-constipation predominant (IBS-C).Stool may be accompanied by passage of mucus.
Chronic amebiasis can be excluded by stool routine examination(fresh stool sample examination preferably)
Bulk laxatives like Psyllium husk (Ispaghula husk granules) or osmotic laxatives like lactulose, can be used in place of purgatives like bisacodyl.
